On June 1-9, a cultural event for youth took place in Viksjöfors, Sweden as part of the European Union Youth in Action program. Young adults from Azerbaijan, Sweden, Belarus, Cyprus, Latvia, Slovakia, the Ukraine, and Armenia participated.
The group representing the Azerbaijan Republic at the event was organized by the Legal Analysis and Research Public Union and included the following Khazar University students: Miragha Baghirov, Rugangiz Asgarova, and Isfandiyar Safarov from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences; and Musa Abdullayev from the School of Economics and Management. The students performed national dances and musical numbers at the event, demonstrating Azerbaijani culture to the other participants.
Helena Ehrstand, the project leader, and Matilda Norling Person, the head coordinator, said that they appreciated the performances of the Azerbaijani representatives. Helena Ehrstand said, “I have been coordinating this project for several years now, but I have never seen such a lively music and dance performance as that of the Azerbaijani representatives. This is a great novelty for us. I hope that we will be able to continue our partnership with you.”
At the end of the event, the students were awarded certificates.
