Ramil Iskandarli, Chairman of the Legal Analysis and Research (LAR) NGO was in the business trip in Germany. Chairman of LAR with financial support of German organization GIZ participated at the Conference on “Reforms in the Attorney Activity” held by the Hertie School of Governance situated in Berlin.
From June 2 to 6, 2014, meeting of the former participants of the Winter Academy of the Hertie School of Governance on “The Reforms in the Attorney Activity – Legal Dialogue for the Legal Reforms” as well as alumni of the GIZ who studied in Germany was held.
On June 2, 2014, at the opening of the conference, the former commissioner of the European Union and former vice-president of the European Commission Gunter Verheugen made a speech on “The Outcomes and Problems of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP)”. Along with the situation at the South Caucasus, the discussions were held regarding evaluation of the Europe-Russia relations against the background of political development.
Besides, in Frankfurt (Oder), Ramil Iskandarli, also met with Ms. Carmen Tiele, the Dean of the Law Faculty of the European Viadrina University of which he graduated. The perspective of holding a joint conference at the University together with LAR was discussed at the meeting.
In Berlin, Ramil Iskandarli also held meeting with representative of the Fight Global Human Trafficking Project of the Europe Institute for Social Work and conducted discussions regarding areas of the future joint cooperation. Information about the activity of the LAR regarding social rights of the vulnerable groups of population conducted with financial assistance of the Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was given at the meeting.
