Quarantine regime being relaxed in Baku – Azeri Daily

Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has decided to relax the quarantine regime.

Starting from 12 am on 18 May, in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran cities and Absheron district, the system of SMS permissions for free movement will be cancelled, as well as the provision of permissions from the icaze.e-gov.az website, official ID or certificate of employment.

The ban on entry to parks and recreation areas is also lifted.

Also, from the same date, restaurants and cafes are allowed to operate in the aforementioned cities and district.

Restaurants, cafes, tea houses and other public facilities are allowed to receive customers from 8 am to 6 pm. At the same time, the ban on the use of hookahs remains.

Restaurants, cafes and other facilities must work with strict observance of sanitary and epidemiological rules approved by the Cabinet. Violation of these rules will create administrative and criminal liability.
