Ministry of Health has started distributing personal protective equipment to health care facilities in the frontlines of COVID-19 in Azerbaijan. These essential supplies were delivered by WHO with funding from the European Union.
Last week, PPEs were also delivered to the Main Medical Department of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan, which has provided health care to prison inmates for many years.
The institution is renowned for its work on the control of tuberculosis and multidrug-resistant TB, and the PPEs will help protect health workers, support staff and detainees at the institution.
