Ramil Iskandarli spoke at the UN CND 66th session – Video

Legal Analysis and Research Public Union (LARPU) is among the NGOs with ECOSOC Special Consultative Status participating in the 66th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, organized by UNODC in Vienna International Center from 13 to 17 March 2023. Ramil Iskandarli the Chairman of the LARPU and Nigar Iskandarova, member of Board of LARPU attended both plenar sessions and side events.

They participated at the 2 major NGOs related events which were the Side event on “Celebrating 40yrs of increasing, meaningful civil society engagement in international drug policy” and Side event on “How to effectively engage Youth Civil Society Organizations in addressing issues of drugs and crime globally”.

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) play a crucial role in preventing drug abuse through various initiatives and programs aimed at creating awareness, providing education, and offering support and treatment to individuals struggling with addiction. Overall, the role of NGOs in preventing drug abuse is crucial, as they work to create awareness, provide education, advocate for policies, provide support and treatment, and conduct research to combat drug abuse in the country.
