Azerbaijani Parliament elects new Ombudsman – Azeri Daily

Sabina Aliyeva, who was elected Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan, took an oath in the Milli Majlis.

Report informs that S. Aliyeva expressed gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and also thanked the MPs for her election as Ombudsman.

At its plenary meeting, the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) elected the new Ombudsman of Azerbaijan.

As it became known to Azeri Daily, Sabina Aliyeva was elected the new Ombudsperson of the country.

Sabina Aliyeva was elected to the position by 104 votes of deputies.

It should be noted that the Deputy Head of the Apparatus of the Constitutional Court Sabina Aliyeva is the wife of the Deputy Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party, member of parliament Siyavush Novruzov.
