The first meeting of the newly elected members of the Public Council under the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.
At the event, Vahid Gahramanov, head of the Chief department of migration policy and legal protection, congratulated the elected members and wished them success in their activities. He emphasized that expectations are high from the new composition of the Public Council and informed the participants about the cooperation of the Service with civil society institutions and the importance of the activity of the Public Council.
Later, elections were held for leadership positions of the Public Council through open voting. Ramil Iskandarli, the chairman of the “Legal Analysis and Research” Public Union, was elected the chairman of the Public Council under the State Migration Service. Fuad Aliyev, the chairman of the “Support for the Protection of Civil Rights” Public Union, and Rahila Mehtiyeva, the chairman of the “Socio-Economic and Ecological Development” Public Union, were elected the vice-chairmen of the Public Council, and Mahsati Huseynova, the chairman of the “Youth’s Contribution” Public Union, was elected the secretary of the Council.
During the event, the members of the Public Council exchanged views on their future activities and made relevant proposals.
