NGO legislation will be improved in Azerbaijan

A public discussion was held at the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (NGO Agency) regarding the improvement of the legislation regulating NGO activity.


On July 18, the NGO Agency held a public discussion on improving the legislation regulating NGO activity.
Vusal Guliyev, the head of the sector of the department on the work with NGOs and communication of the Presidential Administration, Aygun Aliyeva, the executive director of the NGO Agency, Sarvan Sadigov, the head of the legislative sector on human rights of the State-building, administrative and military legislation department of the Milli Majlis, and members of the Supervisory Board of the NGO Agency, and non-governmental organizations participated in the public discussion.

Vusal Guliyev pointed out the importance of the public discussion and said that all proposals voiced by the participants will be analyzed.


The representatives of the Milli Mejlis, Supervisory Board of the Agency, the heads of the different NGOs spoke at the event and said that the innovations made in the current draft proposals to the NGO legislation will contribute to the strengthening of the civil society.
