‘World for Peace in Caucasus’ campaign

  • We express our deep concern regarding the dissemination of misinformation and disinformation on the so-called “blockade” of Lachin Road. This campaign not only derails the peace process but also poses a serious threat to the stability of the Southern Caucasus region.
  • The International Court of Justice recently rejected Armenia’s request to remove the Lachin border checkpoint which is situated exclusively in the sovereign territories of Azerbaijan, dismissing allegations of its illegality. We are aware of the fact that despite Azerbaijan’s willingness to deliver humanitarian aid to the Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, it is Armenia and the remnants of the puppet regime established by Armenia that rejected it and hindered the supply of this assistance through the Aghdam-Khankendi road.Additionally, Azerbaijan designated a special representative for the dialogue with Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and invited them to Baku to this end.
  • However, they refused to come and run away from the dialogue. It once again shows that Armenia and the remnants of the puppet regime are engaged in cheap political manipulation show.
  • Expressing our appreciation for the recent dispatch of approximately 40 tons of flour by the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society on August 29, 2023, to Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan,
  • Endorsing the pivotal role of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, commending these initiatives which reflect their steadfast commitment to the principles of neutrality and impartiality,
  • Denouncing the campaign organized by Armenia and the remnants of the puppet regime against this humanitarian effort of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, targeting the core aspect of the aid provided,
  • Welcoming Azerbaijan’s current advocacy for peace, substantial aid efforts directed to the Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and an active reconstruction process in its war-torn territories,
  • Also welcoming the proposal of Azerbaijan that after the opening of the Aghdam-Khankendi road the Lachin road will also be available for delivery of humanitarian assistance,
  • We appeal to the international community to reject the misinformation and disinformation campaign about the so-called “blockade” or a “humanitarian crisis” that Armenia has launched against Azerbaijan,
  • We denounce the concerted campaign initiated by Armenia against Azerbaijan, specifically targeting the humanitarian aid initiatives and undermining the essence of this aid,
  • We call on the international community to urge Armenia not to intervene into the domestic affairs of Azerbaijan and not to politicize the humanitarian aid of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society,
  • We call upon Armenia to engage in post-conflict normalization negotiations based on reciprocal recognition of sovereignty and territorial integrity of each other.
